CAMP INFORMATION These camps are designed to not only teach young male and female athletes the correct way to resistance train to maximize performance but also implementation of a program to make them stronger and more powerful athletes. Proper form and technique will be taught and implemented using several aspects of resistance training. Several varying types of resistance training exercises and training equipment will be included during the training sessions including but not limited to the following: Body Weight Training Jumping, Landing, Cutting Techniques Plyometric Training Hurdle, Cone, and Ladder Training Functional and Core Training Explosive Medicine Ball Training Stability Ball Training Bosu Ball Training Vertical Jump Training Lebert Equalizer Training Band, Tubing, Parachute Training Power/Speed Sleds Dumbbell Training Barbell Training Olympic Lifts By learning safe, efficient movement patterns, athletes will build a strong foundation to enhance their athletic careers. Each participant will receive pre and post-camp evaluations as well as a camp t-shirt. Overall instruction will focus on proper technique and safety, injury prevention, warm-ups and cool-downs, and proper exercise programming to maximize sport performance. TYPICAL CAMP DAY ACTIVITIES Dynamic Warm-up - 10 mins Plyometric, Power, Speed Training - 15 mins Technique, Spotting, Progressions - 10 mins Resistance Training - 20 mins Cool-down/Stretch - 5 mins LOCATION Training will be held at JT Training (2122 East 4th Street) which has over 4400 square feet of padded turf and rubber flooring plus large free weight area.
